Babies Riley Update Week 10

I went to the doctor this week and everything looks great! All the babies measured well and all 3 heartbeats were strong. One of the babies was very active. It was waving its little paddle arms and bouncy around. It looked like the penguin in Happy Feet! So hitting a milestone, I was released by my doctor to a regular high risk OB. My first appt with her is on May 13th and I will be 12 weeks. Really looking forward to getting to know her. I am struggling to put on the weight. I need to consume around 4000 calories a day. Right now with morning sickness and general queasiness I am not coming anywhere near that. Started this week supplementing my meals 3 times a day with Ensure or Boost which I was surprised to learn taste great. Just exhausted! Trying to get lots of rest.

Exciting news! I got my first baby gift this week. My sweet friend Casey in Fairhope sent me a Praise Baby video. It was wonderful! I checked it out and it is so uplifting, I got all emotional thinking how my babies would watch this one day. Thanks Casey! Also this week, my sweet friends found out that I can't travel after June and threw together a baby shower for me in 3 weeks when I come home in May for my birthday. I am so excited. We are doing a gift card party because travel with presents will be difficult. I can't wait to see all my B'ham friends :-)

Lu- I am sooo excited for you guys! That is so funny. We saw Baby A's flipper on Wednesday too. We had an unexpected dr's appt and got to have another ultrasound (on the belly). Wow- the technology was great! The Ensure is not bad at all. I like the chocolate. My sister, the nutritionist, said you can make a milkshake out of the Ensure with some protein, yogurt or ice-cream, and fruit. So, if you have the time, that would be good. But if you are like me, I want something fast and quick, so I can get back in the bed. I have realized that I rest MUCH better in the bed versus the couch. Are you still working full time?? I am sooo happy for you guys and love you all very much! We are praying for you daily! Get LOTS of REST!!

Luann, can't wait to see you next weekend. Chad and I will be in the yard this weekend getting ready for your and Justin's arrival! I can't wait to hug you. Maybe then this rumor of you having triplets will become a reality for me. You guys travel safe.
