A "Woolley" Special Baby Shower

I am thrilled, honored, blessed and just EXCITED for my sweet friend Jen.  You know Jen.. my best friend and sweetest most loving person I know? She took me and befriended me at church. She gave me my Houston baby shower when I barely knew a soul here.  She took care of me in my delivery and took pictures of the boys.  She has documented their lives. And finally.. it is her turn to let me (and my mom) SHOWER her and her expected little one.

Jen and Rusty are adopting and the baby is due in February.  A few girls from our Sunday school class, me and my mom hosted a shower for her a couple of weeks ago at my house.  My mom brought her cricut and we made some of our first ever projects!  I made my first diaper wreath (with the help of a special little craft elf :-)

My first cricut banner!   A 3 night, late night project but I love how it turned out.

These precious "Woolley" cups with the cricut..

One of the my favorite.. and I think the most personal and special parts was the messages people left for Jen, Rusty, and "Baby Woolley".  I can't take credit for the idea, I found this on the cricut message boards, but we cut mini onesies out and the guest wrote their messages and hung them on the line.  During the shower, I ventured over and started reading a few.  Watery eyes!  They are all a testament to the type of people Jennifer and Rusty are.  How much they have done for others and how special this baby and adoption are.  This baby is SO LOVED!!

A very talented member of our group, Tami just knocked it out of the park with the cake pops.  Are they seriously the cutest thing ever?? Look at the lambs?  And the best part they were DELICIOUS.  Vanilla, Strawberry, and Chocolate.. yes. I tried all 3!  Yummers.. Bakeralla has nothing on my friend! (and she made the amazing diaper cake!)

I love Esty and by a ton of stuff for the boys on their and loved these favors that I found. Sweet little lamb soaps in baby scent.  A great thank you for all our special guests.

Do you love the little art I designed on my Mac?  It was on the TV and also on the digital frame welcoming guests.

So many friends, family, and loved ones showed up to support them and shower them.  We prayed over Jen and for the baby.. it was a beautiful moment.. not many dry eyes in the place.  I am blessed to share these memories with her. Please keep this sweet family in your prayers as they prepare for the arrival of their baby.

Love,

So adorable!! Please come host my next baby shower :) I had never heard of a cricut before your blog but now I want one!!! I'm so glad your friends are adopting. Every day I thank God that Josh's parents weren't able to conceive and instead became parents by adopting. Maybe that's wrong of me, but if it weren't for that and for a very unselfish young woman who let him go I wouldn't have my husband.
