Winnie the Pooh and Fried Rice

This weekend we braved taking the boys to their 1st movie.  I read a lot of reviews about Winnie the Pooh and its only 60 minutes so I thought this would be a good first try.  We loaded up Saturday afternoon and headed to the Silverado (huge fancy theater north of our house).  We walk up to the window about 15 minutes before movie time and asked for Winnie the Pooh.  The lady smiled and us and said "sold out all weekend"  Every show!! Really?  She said that we could buy tickets for tomorrow but we would need to be in line at least an hour early to get a seat in theater. Ok. No way.  So we leave, disappointed. Justin makes some smart comment like "We aren't in Luverne anymore Luann" I look up the other theater near our house.  The kinda ghetto one.  They have a shown in 30 minutes.  I convinced Justin to drive by and let me try.  Score!  No lines. The lady looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if it was sold out!  There were a handful of families.. about 1/2 full.  As Justin said.. "the price you can pay if you are willing to get shot. Ha!"

Outside the theater of our first movie
The boys had a blast with the "candy".. even though we didn't let them get any :-)  1 large bag of popcorn and 2 drinks later we head into the theater.  The boys were so into the popcorn and previews.  Really into the popcorn.  We had to take turns holding the bag in our laps.  The previews lasted FOREVER.  Like 20 minutes.. we then made it about 10 minutes into the actual movie and we got restless.  Out of our seats trying to wander the aisles.  Beckett grabbed a kids hair in front of us, Eli chunked my 42 oz coke down the aisle and it exploded.  Dad and I grabbed a baby and hit the door.  The boys then had the MOST fun running through the lobby of the theater and playing with the other "escapees" on the video games.  Oh well.  It was worth a try.  I think we are good for at least a year!

Ready for the movie!

This popcorn is SO GOOD!

Playing with our new friend outside the movie

Our favorite part?  Running crazy!
On Sunday, we met our very special friends the Woolley's for the boys first Hibatchi experience.  We had a great time visiting and the boys did great.  Beckett particularly LOVED the food.  He ate so much fried rice and mainly with his fingers.  It was all over his pants and even in his diaper when we got home.  He loved edamame too and even figured out how to get the beans out of the pod.  He loved stabbing his chicken with the chopsticks.  Eli could really have cared less.  He wasn't really hungry but really into watching the chefs.  He said "egg" when the chef was putting on his show and "hot" over and over again.   They were so cute in their boots they wore for an evening out.   Almost as cute as little Ben who joined us in his handsome vest and big boy jeans.  He did so good.  It was a wonderful time spent with very good friends - our Texas family.
